Here are a few of my favorite things

The kitchen cabinets

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Not everyone wants a country kitchen, true. However, real wood shaker cabinets are a detail not to be overlooked. They never really go out of style. Hardware and hinges can be swapped out to update a classic. A floor to ceiling pantry presentation offers you some beautiful and meaningful storage. I wouldn’t paint these myself, however a coat of pretty paint can modernize and brighten this kitchen. A new emotional marble countertop, farmhouse sink & a beautiful brass faucet want to live here. You might add a chunky butchers block on the hoosier pullout for a disappearing cut station? The nice thing about wood cabinets is you can modify them with the help of a good carpenter to fit your needs and once the paint and sanding has happened, no one will know.

Add some updated flooring and new appliances and your custom kitchen is a beauty. It’s all there.. It just needs some vision.

The Windows

These original 1920’s french windows have all the good stuff going for them. They are charming, pretty and tall, french opening casement style & real wood! It could be as easy as a good sanding, smooth paint job and some glass caulk to get the charming ladies in line. They are gorgeous architectural statements in a living space already lush with potential. I see white walls, black window sashes and some really pretty natural lighting.

The Front Door

FRONT DOOR.jpg

Not everyone gets an old world wood door to refinish with the original 1930’s brass hardware still attached. This front door is everything. More than just curb appeal, it is the kind of door that will make you happy every time you walk in. If you like beautiful vintage doors that is.

Such a natural beauty! A beautiful door flanked by feminine Spanish arches and the potential for a statement overhead light fixture. A moment in the making I say.

The YARD!

The last thing I will point out is the yard size. It’s big! There are trees and grass and a stone style patio. Yes, it’s overgrown and wild and needs some manicuring. But there is something to work with. It’s not just a concrete pad. It’s a wild beauty waiting to be tamed.

AND There is a carriage house style garage with plumbing. Creative home office, ADU conversion, or Air BNB candidate (after a style induced makeover that is) This is huge in terms of creative flex space you might want to take advantage of.

Homes in the neighborhood smaller than this are comping in the 1.3+ range. At 1.095M, this home could take on a designer facelift and you will still be getting a great deal with your own desires and styles infused. A great street in a great hood. This home is worth the stop by. Say hi to Craig! He is there today from 1-4pm!
